The photos on this page are paid for by public donations and therefor free of charge.

2. When will the photos be up?

My aim is to deliver photos within five business days.
You can check the current status in the 'Upcoming' tab. 

Delivery

Often times, I deliver earlier. Sometimes, it just takes longer. It all depends on the amount of photos I need to deliver. This can add up to hundreds of photos per album, all of which I have to sort and manually edit. A job like that can make things run late. 😓

For a photographer, it's easier and quicker to deliver a lower amount of photos. Over here, we are trying to put a smile on as many faces as possible. It might take a while and could require a good search through the album, but it's always worth the wait. 

3. Fair Usage

These are the usage rules for my public photos:

1. For personal and non-commercial use, photos may be downloaded and shared without editing.

2. Commercial use only after explicit written permission by Tyron Rosheuvel.

3. Unless otherwise stated, @BYTYRON is to be credited when the watermark is cut from the photo.

4. Visuals may never be used in context that could be considered negative. (i.e. political / hateful messages)

For edited or commercial usage, please refer to article (6)7 respectively.

Often times, the events I shared missed a willing photographer or fitting budget. Since 2016, I have been covering select events using personal funds.  On a yearly basis, thousands of people get a visual memory, regardless of their wealth and income.

😥 Unattainable luxury
Having a moment captured professionally has become a luxury. It's either an afterthought or simply too expensive. This project brings the possibility to the public.

💸 Covering costs
In the past, I requested entrepreneurs or the city council for expense allowance. This is sadly no longer an option. Public funds allow me to restrict my own donation to camera gear, the fysical act of photography and managing the infrastructure to keep the photos up.

😍Photos for everyone

5. How important can a photo truly be?

Last year, I was asked this question and I understand the person asking it. "Everyone shoots photos all day. How important can a photo truly be?" After doubting whether it was fitting for me to share this with you here, this is how important a photo can be:

 During the end of Kermis 2023, I shot a photo with Kim and Kelly, two of my friends. Kim never liked photos, but allowed me to shoot one.  Very shortly thereafter, Kim saldy passed away. Her friends decided that photo was to be funeral photo. Kim always looked proud when she watched me take photos and expressed her admiration. I draw strength from that when doing this.

In the middle of town, two young women ran up to me. "We've been looking for you!", one of them shouted as they stopped me. The duo wanted a photo and one of them carried a phone, containing multiple photos I shot over the years. "Let's make a new one for our collection!", the other woman yelled in excitement.

Through my photography, I got to know Dario. "Prime photographer!", he responded after I sent him a few photos with his friends. For years, we greeted on the street and I would quickly take his photo. Until one day, I decided to take a photo somewhere else. That night, Dario was brutally murdered by knife, just over half a mile away. The only thing I could do then was capture his remembrance.

Rest peacefully, dear Dario.

These past years saw a lot of moments where my photography captured something that became worthwhile further down the line. I can tell by profile pictures, lockscreens and funeral cards that people create. Often times, the photo is not the goal. The goal is to capture a moment and then present it back to someone, so they can cherish that moment if they please.

That's how important a photo truly is.

6. Commercial Usage

Commercial use for a photo? Sure thing. Please contact me.
 

One-time License

For commercial use, we will agree on a reasonable one-time license. The charged fee is instantly donated to the project. That way, every license is also a donation to the project. 

Copyright Violation
My copyright warning holds twice as strong for commercial parties. In the past years, entrepreneurs were found violating my copyright. I press further action on all accounts of violation.

Just reach out to me. We can easily reach an agreement that favors us both.

7. Deletion

There's always a chance you might want your photo deleted for whatever reason. Please let me know if you do. Send me an email with a clear description of your photo, and ideally filename or link to the picture. A photo of it is fine as well. I'll take care of your request the moment I see the email.

Way of Work
These photos are meant for the people on the photos. I always try to pick photo that don't damage people's reputation and take deletion requestions seriously. If the people on a photo saw the photo, my goal has succeeded. In my opinion, a photo can be taken offline after immediately.

Group photos
In a group photo deletion request I will decide per situation; after all, the photo holds multiple people. In reality, often times a photo can be deleted without any issues.

8. Image rights & Copyright

Copyright Law

To prevent discussions about Image Rights versus Copyright, I recommed reading the Dutch copyright law. Please keep in mind that copyright law has more weight in public situations. But more importantly: this project is meant for people who have a need to have their photo taken publicly. All people who do not support that need, are irrelevant to the project. This is why I do not discuss rights during photography.

If you are in any way disadvantaged by a photo in my albums, please contact me immediately. Harming someone is never the goal, so photos that are harmful should leave the project as soon as possible.

9. Safety & GDPR

This site was built with relatively high privacy in mind. All photos reside in a managed storage, that is not indexed by search engines or social media. That way, access to the photos remains public, without images scattering all over Google Search.

 
Imperfecte oplossing

Deze site is niet perfect, maar wel de beste middenweg. Je hebt alleen een browser nodig en kunt de foto's direct bekijken én downloaden, ook op een telefoon, tablet of TV. Downloaden kan zonder iets achter te laten en zelfs doneren kan anoniem. 

That said, this site is far from perfect. It is however the best I can offer for this budget. All you need is a browser to directly view and download the photos. Even on a phone, tablet or TV. You can do that anonymously. You can even donate anonymously if you are so inclined.

All while keeping the budget fairly low, so we can feed as much of the donations back into photographing people.

My name is Tyron and I shoot big festivals and concerts. Since 2016, I developed the 'BYTYRON' label and grew from amateur to publicized media creator. While I started out in Hoorn's nightlife, nowadays I play a part in big productions.

For years, I shot Kingsday and Lappendag in Hoorn, together with the beautiful festivals Outdoor Stereo & Hoorn Zingt Hollands. These days I produce articles and visuals for (inter)national news media like Maxazine and HIJS, leading to me capturing some of the biggest artists and festivals.

Despite the big projects I am involved in, I aim to stay available to my home region. Mutiple days per year, I donate visuals to the public domain. The societal importance of public photography must never be forgotten.  As long as I can carry my donation weight, there will be photos. Thankfully, more photographers are catching on to this importance.
